Towcester Water Meadows Alphabet
The area bordering Moat Lane, Bury Mount, the Mill and the Old Northampton Road has become a special local place for wildlife spotting, walking and general relaxation especially during the Lockdowns of 2020/21
This painting includes some of the wildlife spotted there over the seasons. Some animals, birds, insects and plants are seen regularly, others are more elusive. My personal favourite is the kingfisher, which I saw many times in 2020, but I never fail to enjoy the variety of birds of prey, high in the sky, above this beautiful green space.
